Set for Spring of 2026, the Capital Region Youth Climate Summit will empower high-school aged youth to become climate leaders, now and in their future careers.
Youth will:
Teams of students will design Climate Action Plans to make positive change specific to their individual schools and communities.
Students will leave with a sense that they have been heard, with greater hope for the future and will feel connected to a wider community that shares their values and concerns.
It is our hope to plan a one-day pilot summit within the next year, which would become the first in a series of annual events. It will be structured following the outstanding model established by the Wild Center and described in their Youth Climate Summit Toolkit.
